Playground upgrade in Slovakia

After discovering the Ukrainian refugee shelter in Presov, Eric Bartsch saw an opportunity to do some upgrades to the basketball court in the outdoor area. He purchased the necessary tools and supplies and coordinated the project with the help from some of the residents. Together, they removed the old, broken backboards and made new ones. The children were given the opportunity to design the new style and a small art project emerged as many were eager to get involved and have a hand in this new creation.

Eric ended up making many friends at this shelter and helped in many different ways, even if it was just to visit and spend time with people. His focus here made a huge impact on the lives of displaced people in a new country.
