While supporting widowed families in Odessa, BTI founder Dave Kovalchick rented a bowling alley and had a pizza party for the women and children. 60 families were invited and it was a great way to spend an afternoon getting to know the people on a more personal level.
Most of the kids had never bowled before so they were excited to try a new game. It was fun to sit back and watch them, along with the mothers, enjoy the day of fun and not think about what was going on in their every day lives.
The bowling alley also had a separate room we rented for activities. We hired animators to come and put on a show with games, music and other fun activities.
